Ward 5 Day 2024
A tradition dating back to the days of Ward 5 Councilmember Harry Thomas, Sr., Ward 5 Day was revived by Councilmember Parker in 2023. The 2024 celebration will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Turkey Thicket Recreation Center (1100 Michigan Ave NE). With DPR as an official sponsor, this year’s event promises to be even bigger and better than before! In the days leading up to Ward 5 Day, join neighbors for pop-up events across the Ward during Ward 5 Week, September 16-21. Note a change from last year: this year’s Ward 5 Awards Ceremony will take place in December as part of the Ward 5 Holiday Party.

Kick off all the Ward 5 Day and Ward 5 Week festivities by joining Councilmember Parker for Ward Days at Nationals Park on Thursday, September 12 at 6:45 p.m.!
