Dear Ward 5 neighbors,
This time of year is often referred to as a season of giving. As the holidays approach, daylight shortens, and temperatures drop, we prepare to gather with loved ones and are reminded to see each neighbor as an essential link in the chain that builds healthy communities. My team and I are filled with gratitude after yesterday’s Annual Thanksgiving Giveaway, where we were able to provide holiday groceries to more than 500 neighbors across Ward 5. This is only made possible by the generosity of dozens of volunteers and many community organizations who all chip in and give back to those who need a helping hand.
