Dear Ward 5 neighbors,
Happy Thanksgiving!
Today, I hope you are gathering with loved ones and counting your blessings. We have faced tremendous challenges this year, and yet, we are still here working together for a more just District.
In difficult times, I remain inspired by the actions of countless neighbors. Neighbors who have stood up to defend Home Rule. Neighbors who keep an eye out for those who need a helping hand. Neighbors who have called our community home for decades and faithfully carry the stories of Ward 5. Neighbors who are new to the area, but work to put their roots down and link arms with us in building healthy communities.
This Thanksgiving, it is you—Ward 5 neighbors—that I am thankful for. It is the honor of a lifetime to represent you as your Councilmember and to fight every day for a healthier Ward 5 and a more just DC.
