Every Washingtonian has a stake in a successful downtown. This week’s news that Monumental Sports has reached “a framework of an agreement” moving the Capitals and the Wizards to an arena in Alexandria at Potomac Yard was a blow to the District. If—and that is a big if—this agreement moves forward, it would impact our bottom line by $25 million or more, in addition to harming local restaurants and businesses and our overall downtown recovery…
