The air quality reached Code Purple today, meaning it is very unhealthy for all neighbors to be outdoors. Please—stay inside, wear a mask if you must go outside, and check on vulnerable neighbors who may need a helping hand.

It was a busy week in the Ward 5 Council Office as we packed up our desks in Suite 102 at the Wilson building and moved to Suite 506. As always, our door is open to visitors and the Wilson building belongs to the residents of the District. Stop by anytime!
Summer Recess and Community Meetings
Summer Recess began at the Council on Wednesday, freeing up more time for my team and I to get out of the Wilson building and into community meetings and events. This past week, I hosted meetings for the Carver Langston community and for neighbors near the Joe Mamo Lot (you can catch recaps and links to recordings in the Week in Review below!). Coming up, neighbors in Fort Lincoln are invited to join us on Wednesday, July 29 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. for an agency blitz walk to address concerns around public safety, illegal dumping, parking enforcement, and more.
